Our international client is looking for a Territory Manager based out of Nanaimo or Courtenay (Comox Valley), British Columbia, who will focus on the specialty wines market. As a Territory Manager, this person will be responsible for meeting or exceeding predetermined service expectations while promoting product and fulfilling route management objectives. Through excellent execution this person will achieve volume targets, market share, brand equity and grow brand distribution with the right brands in the right accounts in the assigned territory.

Despite this role being fully remote, the client offers excellent training and support allowing this individual to thrive autonomously.  With a heavy emphasis on diversity, our client is looking to grow its team and to allow the candidate to aspire to be a proud individual. Working in consumer goods, this role offers communication with passionate and enthusiastic clients and allows the candidate to use product knowledge and business acumen to build long lasting relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The key job functions are:

  • Managing the assigned territory (North Island – Courtenay Comox Valley, Tofino, Ucluelet)
  • Traveling – mostly daily travel, not a ton of overnight travel to be expected
  • Effectively planning on a daily, weekly, or monthly / quarterly basis, with quota and distribution objectives
  • Maintaining and growing existing volume and distribution by building credible and long-term relationships with ON and OFF Premise accounts
  • Managing assigned budget as required
  • Conducting product tasting and education sessions
  • Executing sales calls using the company’s Structured Call methodology
  • Reporting on competitive activities within the territory and offering constructive suggestions
  • Determining potential fit with brand portfolio by prospecting, quantifying, and qualifying new accounts
  • Providing product and brand marketing knowledge through sales aides and staff training seminars
  • Working with supplier representatives and members of management in the field to promote sales
  • Servicing and improving the marketability of products through shelf management, display position and frequency, concept selling and price point management
  • Ensuring distribution of brands in key purchasing areas of account


  • Bachelor’s degree


  • Vaccine mandate in effect
  • MS Suite – experience with Excel required


  • Knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience is required
  • Sales experience in a relevant industry (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)

Base Salary: $60,000 per year base

  • Plus annual bonus (~15%)
  • Full benefits package starting day one – Medical, dental, disability, etc.

  • Car allowance, gas card, phone allowance, product allowance, etc.

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per week

Remote Work:

  • This position is not remote and required to be on-site.
