Manpower is looking for a Stack Production Technician in Calgary.
Responsibilities:
Carry out and support stack pilot manufacturing operations including, but not limited to, interconnect sub-assembly and stack build processes for both fuel cell stack repeat and non-repeat components
Carry out a variety of manufacturing tasks which range from fully-manual, semi-automated, and fully automated via robot in an environment of increased throughput and scale-up
Initial focus will be on dispensing of glass seals for stack as well as spot welding of interconnects
Support cell and stack test stand maintenance, repair and upgrades
Help propel one of the highest efficiency electrolysis technologies to market
Other tasks as assigned
Report to Senior Manager, Engineering
Qualifications:
Education: Grade 12 diploma, additional training in mechanical or manufacturing areas desired
Experience: Minimum of 1 year work experience in manufacturing environment. Hands-on skills in production, assembly, testing and machine workshop is preferred
Working Environment/Working Conditions:
Generally pilot production / hands on work
This position is located indoors and requires the ability to move between separated rooms within the same building.
Must be able to work physically in the office environment, lab environment and pilot manufacturing environment
Limited desk work using a computer.
Walking/standing/working in an office, lab, fabrication area, or designated installation site environment
Lifting up to 25 lbs., utilizing both hands simultaneously, utilizing hand tools, interacting with larger manufacturing and testing equipment
Be able and willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, respirator, and other PPE as required.
