Our amazing client is looking to hire a Payroll and Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join their team in their BRAND-NEW Downtown offices in Calgary.

The Payroll and Human Resources (HR) Administrator is responsible for full cycle payroll and benefits administration and will mainly be focused on candidates in the US and Albania.

This is a dynamic team in a busy and energetic environment. The perfect candidate is someone who thrives in a fast paced, professional office, while also enjoying a collaborative team atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The key job functions are:

  • Processing U.S. and Albanian payrolls accurately and on a timely basis
  • Handling payroll hires, terminations, transfers, increases, commissions, and bonuses with accuracy and integrity
  • Ensuring all payroll journal entries are completed accurately and on time
  • Providing Department Managers with payroll updates and yearly reviews
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of vacation and sick days
  • Maintaining and updating employees in the Company Benefit Program
  • Completing and administering employment letters for employees
  • Checking and accruing field bonus reports for payroll and month end journal entries
  • Managing administration of leased vehicles and the taxable benefit for the year end payroll calculation
  • Working with the Health & Safety Manager to report and manage any WCB accidents and claims
  • Assisting other departments with various projects when time permits


Post-secondary Payroll or Human Resources certificate


3+ years of related payroll / HR experience

  • US payroll experience a strong asset!


  • Oil and Gas Exploration industry preferred
  • Payroll experience is required
  • HR administration experience is preferred

Base Salary: $6000 per month

  • Benefits package included
  • Free downtown parking

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm

Remote Work:

This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
