Position: Male DSW – with SMG and/or CPI

Major Intersection: (Richmond Hill)

Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr + $3 wage enhancement

Start Date: asap (after orientation is complete – likely beginning of November)

Hours of Work: Shifts Can be – 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, 11pm-8am, 4pm-11pm

(Any and all assignments employees are required to show up 10-15 minutes prior to start time as you’re expected to be on the floor and working by your start time. This also gives you time to sign in and put any personal property in its according place. E.g. Lunches in lunchroom, punching in and out, orientation/meetings, etc.)

Pay Period: Sunday to Saturday paid weekly

Estimated term of the Assignment: On Call Support 24 / 7

Job Description:

  • Ensure breakfast, lunch and dinner is prepared and assist clients with meals if they require assistance
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living
  • Provide care to clients as outlined in their care plans
  • Assist clients with bathing and dressing if they require assistance
  • Complete incident reports, daily logs, and any additional logs for clients
  • Monitor and report any change in client’s well-being
  • Transport and assist clients at appointments
  • Support clients at day programs
  • Provide daily supervision
  • Ensure environment around residents are kept clean and safe
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties
  • Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the management team
  • Comply with Policies

Skills and Requirements:

  • PSW or DSW certificate
  • Valid CPR certificate
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed within 1 year)
  • Fully vaccinated - COVID-19
  • CPI certificate required
  • SMG certificate is considered an asset
